Association of Carers

Hastings Round Table was delighted to donate to the Association of Carers this week, they provide volunteer-led support services to unpaid Carers across East Sussex. with an aim to encourage independence and reduce isolation. The charity was originally set up in 1987 by a small group of Carers and health professionals who identified the need for Carers to receive a regular break from their caring role, in order to stay mentally and physically well and enjoy life outside of their responsibilities.

As of October 2024 they have 138 amazing volunteers providing support to 243 Carers and their families in a variety of ways, including: Respite with Befriending, Computer Help at Home, Talk & Support, Driver, Carers Cafes and more.
